The Midwest Nest Gives Back to the Community

In the spirit and tradition of the Baltimore Ravens, the Midwest Nest participates in many activities throughout the Year to help give back to the Kansas City community.

Every year the Midwest Nest volunteers at Wayside Waifs, a local animal shelter.  They are commited to finding homes for all adoptable pets.  They are the largest adoption campus in Kansas City, placing over 5,400 animals each year in loving homes.  They do not euthanize adoptable animals, and there are no time limits for their care.  They are a member of KC's no kill community.

Hand In Hand

Hand in Hand is a local group founded by area Teachers who wanted to help some of their students with gifts for the Holidays.  Hand in Hand works with parents to provide items such as clothing, books, toys, etc to give to their children.  The students are never aware that the gifts are not from their parents and they get to ask for the presents that they want/need.  The Midwest Nest does a toy/clothing drive every year to fill the families' wish lists.
